This is the website of Dan Sumption, professional event photographer and editor of FAD magazine. This site is a little out-of-date - an overhaul is coming soon. Meanwhile, you might want to check out my Flickr photostream for some more recent photos.

The photo galleries on Dan Shot Me are a nightly document, an unedited stream-of-consciousness peek at the places I go to. The photographs are of varying quality. On my photography portfolio website you can take a step back to get an overview of my best work. Or at least you could, if only I kept it a little more up-to-date.

The galleries are the heart of this site, featuring lots of cool photos of (mainly) Sheffield people and bands on fun nights out: flambouyant, sexy, crazy, wonderful people living it up at Sheffield's many pubs, clubs and other late-night venues. Unfortunately, like I said, I haven't been updating them for a while. Keep checking back here, or email me if you want to know when the site's updated.

Almost all of my photos are for sale, as JPEGs (good for sticking on Myspace, Facebook etc), prints and in many other formats. See the prices page for more details. News flash! Sale now on - all prices have been slashed!

I have produced a photobook, Working Nights, featuring a cross-section of my different photographic projects. You can buy Working Nights from my blog.

I also have two very limited edition books of my photos for sale. The books, Pernoctators (party people) and Ponderosa (traces of crime), are both approximately US-letter size, with a hard cover and 22 internal pages. There are only 20 copies of each book available, and every one is individually numbered and signed. The books are £36 each, including postage to wherever in the world you happen to be, or £66 for both books - I realise this sounds rather expensive, but the books are exceptionally high quality, strictly limited editions (currently remaining: Pernoctators - 10 copies, Ponderosa - 11 copies).
